The ShackBrowse app is primarily a reader/posting app for Shacknews.com. It is an unofficial app and is not developed, distributed or endorsed by Shacknews. This is a volunteer driven app and is open source.

Please note that we do not intend to collect any other data besides the bare necessary data to work with the Shacknews Latest Chatty forum. We will not ask you for your email address or any other personal information.
Usage Data is collected automatically when using the Service. This is currently collected with Google Firebase Crashlytics and Google Firebase Analytics
Usage Data may include information such as mobile phone model, browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that You visit, the time and date of Your visit, the time spent on those pages and other diagnostic data. We do not add any other identifying information to Firebase Crashlytics/Analytics other than what is strictly necessary for basic functionality and will not tie analytics information to a username or IP address.
When You access the Service by or through a mobile device, We may collect certain information automatically, including, but not limited to, the type of mobile device You use, Your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser You use and other diagnostic data.
The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

ShackBrowse will not store any personal data in any other service other than Google Firebase Crashlytics and Analytics. These services are not storing IP address, username or any other personally identifying information but may store phone model and other non-personally identifying diagnostic information.
ShackBrowse will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of Our Service.
Your information, including Personal Data, is only stored on the local device for entered information. To remove your personal information from ShackBrowse, uninstall the application. For information on what data Google Firebase stores, visit this site for Analytics and Crashlytics. Note that we do not use ad identifiers or any advertising ID, nor have ads of any kind.
Your consent to this Privacy Policy followed by Your submission of such information represents Your agreement to that transfer.
ShackBrowse developers will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that Your data is treated securely and in accordance with this Privacy Policy and no transfer of Any Personal Data will take place to an organization or a country unless there are adequate controls in place including the security of Your data and other personal information.
You have the right to delete or request that We assist in deleting the Personal Data that We have collected about You. The ShackBrowse app information can be removed by uninstalling the app and reinstalling if so desired. This app is available under BSD license, so there will be no merger or sale of this app.
Under certain circumstances, the Company may be required to disclose Your Personal Data if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g. a court or a government agency). Since we do not store any personal information on outside systems, be aware that Shacknews may have your information as per their privacy policy

If You are a parent or guardian and You are aware that Your child has provided Us with Personal Data, please contact Shacknews and uninstall the ShackBrowse application. If We become aware that We have collected Personal Data from anyone under the age of 18 without verification of parental consent, We take steps to remove that information from wherever that may be.
Our Service may contain links to other websites that are not operated by Us. If You click on a third party link, You will be directed to that third party's site. We strongly advise You to review the Privacy Policy of every site You visit.
We have no control over and assume no responsibility for the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party sites or services.
We may update Our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify You of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page.
We will let You know via an alert dialog in the app, prior to the change becoming effective and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy.

To remove your personal data from the app, uninstall the app as any personal identifying information is only stored locally. To remove your Shacknews data, you must visit the Shacknews privacy policy page listed in the beginning of this document as the ShackBrowse app is an unofficial client and we do not control/have the ability to do this ourselves.
